As per the official notifications available on the RAC website, there are vacancies available in ADE and GTRE, the total of which amounts to 230 positions. Of the 230 positions:
- 120 are graduate apprentice which require a degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament. Candidates with engineering degrees in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Production, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Telecom, Computer Science, Metallurgy, Civil and so on can apply.
- There are 50 diploma apprentice positions for candidates with a diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government, University, and so on in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and so on.
- There are 60 ITI or trade apprentice trainee positions for candidates with a certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognized by the All India Council for Technical education. The trade apprentice positions available are Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Machinist, Fitter, Electronics mechanic and so on.
